Courageous Kids Climbing

Free adaptive rock climbing and ice skating for people of all ages with special needs.

Our Mission

Courageous Kids Climbing coordinates free adaptive climbing opportunities so that anyone, regardless of their challenges, can experience the joy and confidence of reaching new heights.

Why Climbing?

Everyone adapts in climbing through the use of equipment. For people with special needs, the greatest barrier is rarely their ability, it is the belief that they cannot be climbers. We exist to change that belief, one event at a time.

What We Do

We hold roughly 30 free events each year across five states, set up to support anyone who wants to climb.

Adaptive Rock Climbing

Adaptive Rock Climbing

At indoor facilities, outdoor towers and boulder fields, with adaptive harnesses and specialized lifting and rope systems.

Adaptive Ice Skating

Adaptive Ice Skating

Run alongside local ice-hockey teams, with ice-skate trainers designed to support climbers of every size and ability.

First Responders

First Responders

First responders sharpen their skills working with people with special needs while building trust with the communities they serve.

Our Impact

Since 2014, an all-volunteer team has turned a simple idea into thousands of moments of courage.
