How We Climb
All programs are free. You do not need to be athletic. We have equipment and helpers for everyone.
Every program is free and built to welcome anyone, regardless of challenges. Our typical events combine climbing and ice-skating set up to support people of all ages and abilities.
Adaptive Rock Climbing
Held at indoor climbing facilities, outdoor climbing towers, and boulder fields at camps. Adaptive harnesses, specialized lifting devices and rope systems make the wall reachable for every climber.
Adaptive Ice Skating
Run in partnership with local ice-hockey teams. Ice-skate trainers, including a small-child skate trainer, help climbers of every size find their footing on the ice.
Blind & Low Vision Sensory Exploration
Across Idaho and southern California, CKC gives school-age kids who are blind or low vision hands-on access to fighter jets, army tanks, racecars, and law enforcement gear — turning everyday barriers into unforgettable moments of discovery.

Support for First Responders
First responders support and enhance their skills for working with people with special needs while lessening fears toward people in uniforms. Rope Rescue Technicians set up the specialized rope systems behind every event.
